Marseille 1 – Lille 1:Frustrated Marseille share points with Lille after 1-1 draw

On Sunday, Marseille and Lille were held to a 1-1 draw at the Orange Velodrome. Both teams arrived on the back of wins. Marseille were looking to pick up points after winning last match whilst Lille were coming from a 3-2 win against Bordeaux. As it stands, Marseille are in 3rd place on the table and has 37 points while Lille sit in 10th with 29 points after 21 matches.

Les Dogues scored first, thanks to a goal from Botman Sven, 15 minutes in, seeing out the first half 0-1.

Marseille took the lead in the second half, with Cengiz Under finding the net at the 75 minute mark. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.

For Marseille, Valentin Rongier and Amine Harit, came on for Duje Caleta-Car and Arkadiusz Milik. Lille replaced Gabriel Gudmundsson, Isaac Lihadji and Xeka with Burak Yilmaz, Jonathan Bamba and Renato Sanches.

The referee booked Matteo Guendouzi from Marseille. Lille had the worst of it though, with Benjamin Andre, Zeki Celik, Ivo Grbic and Isaac Lihadji seeing yellow, and Benjamin Andre (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Lille and Marseille will next play away to Brest and RC Lens respectively.
